Great variety of breakfast options to choose from. Conveniently located near a music venue downstairs, the city center, and a cool club called Nu House of Music. 🎶

The room was reasonably spacious & quiet, there was a comfortable bed. Excellent location to attractions like a Mango street, that was a super close walk to the hotel.

Good value for money and good location (between first and second circles) Quiet residential area. The buffet breakfast was adequate and geared more toward the Middle Eastern diet....so picky eaters might have a problem with that...but I thought it was wonderful.
They said they did not have my Booked.net reservation although they honoured the good price I got (35 a night for a single). They also said they did not get my email ("It's Christmas. We don't read emails.!") I think they are more geared toward phone and fax reservations circa 1970. There seems to be a large staff but when you finally find someone at the front desk who can help you, they are very abrupt and defensive. In contrast to the inaffectual and blustering men 'running' the place, the underpaid Phillipina house maids are all sunshine and smiles. The room door locks are also very cheap and flimsy and every door looks like it has been broken into. The place does have a homey charm and all of these faults add to it.

The Shepherd Hotel in Amman exceeded my expectations in several ways. the value for money was exceptional - I couldn't believe the affordable prices for such a comfortable stay. Additionally, the staff were extremely attentive and always went the extra mile to ensure my needs were met. The location of the hotel was also ideal, with shops and amenities nearby, making it convenient for me to explore the area. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was live music happening in the venue downstairs, adding a vibrant atmosphere to my stay.
All in all, my experience at this hotel was fantastic and I couldn't fault anything.

The hotel's location is great, being close to the city center, and there are several positive aspects mentioned by guests. The rooms are described as good and clean, and the staff is helpful and professional. The hotel lobby is comfortable, and there is even a rooftop bar. Additionally, the hotel is close to various amenities and attractions.
For light sleepers, it may be a concern whether there's something happening in the music venue downstairs. One guest complained about the extremely loud nightclub in the building with music blasting until late at night.

I loved the cozy atmosphere of this hotel, it felt like being at home with no formalities at all. The staff were extremely friendly and provided typical courteous and polite Jordanian/Palestinian hospitality. The location was excellent, with many restaurants and minimarkets within a 5-minute walking distance. Additionally, the hotel offered acceptable room charges, making it a good choice for budget-conscious travelers.
One downside of the hotel was the noise from the nearby children's school in the front, especially in the early morning. However, the hotel was accommodating and willingly provided me with a room on the other side to minimize the noise.

Great location, close to many attractions and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with a map and recommendations for places to visit. The hotel room had a comfortable bed and clean towels. We also appreciated the complementary breakfast and Wi-Fi.
The room was quite small and outdated. The bathroom was not the cleanest and the shower lacked proper water pressure.

The location of this hotel is fantastic - it's right next to the city center, so there's always something happening nearby. Despite the reviews mentioning the music venue downstairs, I found that it added a lively atmosphere to the hotel and wasn't too disruptive during my stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the basic amenities in the rooms were sufficient for my needs. Additionally, the breakfast had a limited but decent selection of options to eat.
Although there were a few minor issues, overall my stay at this hotel was satisfactory.

Celebrating New Year's Eve in this hotel was a fun experience. the rooftop restaurant had a lively atmosphere and the food was great. the hotel's location was perfect, just a few steps away from a bustling nightlife district and several tourist spots. the staff was courteous and helped us navigate the area.
The room was quite outdated and seemed poorly maintained. the bathroom had mildew on the tiles, and the sheets and towels seemed worn out.
